This is my second purchase from this company. In itself that says something, the service was good, quick and accurate. The tool itself.. weve increasingly doing more walnut foil wrapped mdf skirtings and architraves. I have 16 gauge, 18 gauge second fix pinners and they leave a too visible hole which has then to be disguised with wax sticks etc. You cant fire a pin into the end of mdf without bursting it either. Corners of architrave on door heads etc. Not great. A conversation led to have you tried a 23 gauge pinner ? Nope. Hence this purchase. I was dubious about the holding power of such hairlike headless pins. If you relied entirely on the pins to secure, not a chance long term. However, if you use adhesives and use the pins to secure while it grabs and sets.. brilliant ! No more splitting of mdf either. Its been a game changer for us. The gun itself has been thrown straight into work and so far, hasnt missed a beat, no jams or misfires etc I superglued the no mark nose piece in place as im always losing them but then had same with the stanley Bostich etc. I may try a better glue perhaps I think its a nice piece of kit and quite happy with its performance. Im yet to find fault with it ! Im happy to recommend based on my personal useage.
