G Keenest price and shown on website as being in stock so placed order. Was then advised a few days later it was out of stock and would be delayed by a week, which was disappointing. The planer/thicknesser itself has had some use and works well, easy to set up and use. Produced good results when reducing rough timber to planned surface accurate and square. Hint: Instructions say you have to remove fence (fiddly) to move extractor hood to use thicknesser. I have found that if you slide the fence to RHS and move angle to 45 you can position the extractor without removing the fence. Overall, very pleased

This planer jointer works perfectly for smallish jobs. The finish it produces is perfect. I can recommend it

Only used machine for 2 hrs (whilst planing 2x1) and a bearing went. Although promptly repaired as under warranty I am concerned as to its future trustworthiness.

I have nothing but good things to say about Site Box. I bought a Clarke thickness planer which arrived damaged (not the fault of site box) Sonia, at Site Box, arranged a collection and re-delivery of a new one for the same week! Unheard of with other companies I've bought from. Five star service. I'll be using them in the future.

Clarke CPT100 254mm Planer/thicknesser. First off Sitebox had the keenest price for this product on the internet with next day delivery; having used this site before this didn't surprise me. Sitebox didn't disappoint product in stock delivered on time at an excellent price. Now the product itself review; I require a 10"/254mm planer/thicknesser to produce wooden signs of various designs & sizes. The wood is usually cupped & over thickness so I required a product that could do the job after reading various product reviews the 8"version of this product came highly recommended on various sites. The product is easy to use & set up/ the thicknesser & planer scales are accurate. Both planer & thicknesser give excellent results; square & smooth finishes. The only reason for docking product a point is that the fence on planer surface could be more sturdy/reliable doesn't always hold true 90degree square edge. But there are simple ways to rectify this problem ( but you shouldn't have to); the machine is solid not to heavy that you struggle carrying but enough weight to keep product steady. Would I recommend this product to other people? 'Yes' you bet I would. Steve Harris
