Lewis 250 Double Width Towers 2.5m Length - Various Platform Heights

The 250 Industrial Towers are fully interchangeable with the ladder span and AGR systems. With 250mm spacing between the rungs, you have an increased flexibility in platform heights.

Adjustable leg with a locking 6” Castor,

The castors and adjustable leg components are crucial part of the product. The complete tower is relying on these components to be strong enough to withstand massive weight. that’s why we only use Castors that have been tested and certified to be able to take up to 2800kg (2.8tons) combined weight load all four castors. Yes there’s over a 100% a safety factor built in. you imaging pushing and pulling the tower over rough ground continually for years, you need reassurance that the Castors are robust enough to last the test of time.

Brace Hooks

Solid Casting with Spring loaded colour coded triggers, Braces Lock the frames with exact accuracy each time. Red indicates horizontal and Blue for Diagonal. Following the colour sequence means that the tower can only be put together in the correct configuration. We Designed these triggers for ease of use and safety in mind.  As you can see the triggers need to be positively pushed to be released or engaged, therefor can NOT be accidently knocked loose.

Platforms hooks

Very heavy duty platform hooks that are bolted to the corners of the platforms. Platform Hooks also have a unique safety clip system (fail safe) built in. These parts are machined to exact accuracy on our CNC machine. Each hook is 30mm Solid and allows the platform to carry a safe working load of 275kg with ease. These heavy-duty platforms Tested and certified by BSI using over 500kg of weight.

Toe board clips

Designed using the toughest plastic, these toe board blocks clip onto the inside corners of tower and have purpose built slots for toe board panels. Essential requirement for BSEN1004 standard.

Floating Spigots and Locking Clips

Very important component, made from a solid castellated 5mm wall section and machined on our CNC machine for exact accuracy of these parts are again normally over looked but should not be. The holes at the top of spigot need to line up exact with the frame that sits on the spigot, this assures that the frames when assembled together are locked securely with the locking pin.

Collar Casting

These Designed with a purpose and have a massive responsibility. Do not under estimate there worth. Four collars per frame. Towers rely on these to take weight from above and also allow the frames when linked together to sit flush on top of each other. Collars also protect the frames from damage when in storage.

Platforms

Aluminium sides stiles have a serrated anti slip surface on top, platforms have three Ibar sections under side to help distribute the weight load throughout the platform, Light weight construction but extremely strong. The brown phenol ply board is anti-slip in design and sits inside the stiles so no edge of the wood is exposed or is a potential trip hazard. The anti-slip Boards are riveted with special wide rivets that pierce though the wood and into the aluminium underneath the board, this method is ten times better than traditional rivets processes.

LEWIS 250 Frames

Frames are designed to eliminate the need of ladder frames, this type of Tower gives the operative more Platform levels to work with in increments of 250mm. The operative can climb up either side of the Tower. This Tower has serrated tubing on all horizontals for additional grip.

Stabiliser

Standard with all our towers, supports towers when set at the right angle, easy assembly with the full wrap around clamp and gives the most secure grip possible. Loosing or tightening the stabiliser is with complete ease with the over sized palm handle. 

Platform Latch

Aluminium Casted latch for extra tight lock. Also used on Industrial Towers.
