I’ve owned mine for over 6 years. I use it almost every week for collecting blossom from drive ,hedge clippings and leaves in the autumn. Its very powerful, I tend to remove the collection bag and take it to compost area to empty. Previously I owned a Billy Goat Outdoor vac which was good but heavy. I’ve never regretted the swop.

Have recently purchased this machine. I have not used it on wet leaves yet as I got ready for this autumn but have done a few practice runs on the few leaves I have got already and yes I can see the zip being a issue but I like it it seems very powerful and I am very optimistic it will be a sound investment. The ordering and delivery was very good. Like others have said I have a separate leaf blower so did not buy the hose

I should have bought this machine earlier in the year, before all the leaves were down & before it started raining heavily. It's a good machine, but not helped by the grass on my lawns being so long & wet. Yet, amazingly it still picks up most of the leaves, even in these arduous conditions. As one reviewer has already commented, it is much more effective when being pulled backwards (it isn't self propelled). The claim that the inbuilt shredder reduces the volume of leaves in the collection bag is true, but to nowhere near the extent the suppliers claim. It probably reduces the volume to a third of the original, but this is still most valuable. The bag fills up very quickly & it is a pain to empty. Having collected your leaves, the last thing you want is to have them spread out over your lawn again, yet this is what has to happen, because it is difficult to remove the bag & transport it to the leaf pen in order to empty it. The collection bag containing the leaves has a zipped panel, which is easily opened to obtain access to the leaves, but it's still awkward to empty & nearly impossible to do up again, especially when it's been emptied a few times & the zip gets filthy with chewed up leaves & soil. It would be far better to have a top entry bag with a drawstring & for it to be much more easily removed from the machine in order to facilitate transporting it (and not the machine) to your emptying place. Nevertheless, it's a remarkable machine, and is a great help with this autumn chore. I didn't purchase the blowing (or sucking) hose with the machine, so can't comment on it, except to say that I have a separate leaf blower which I think would always be much easier & more effective to use than this device. The machine can't get into awkward or small places, but it would be a pain to keep fitting this device.

Great machine, once you get the engine started. The bag attachment to the back outlet of the machine is critical to the starting as there is a spring clip thing that HAS TO BE fully depressed with the base of the bag connector before you get "lift off". The whole thing becomes quite heavy to push when the bag is full, especially when cleaning up wet leaves. My grassed area is not completely flat but when you get the height adjustment right it deals with the situation ok, with a couple of passes back and forth. Well worth having this machine, but dont let the leaves get too thick on the ground before you attack them, like i did - better a couple of goes with the kit before the whole seasons leaves deposit themselves on the ground. I found that 1 full bag filled 2 barrows, so saved all the bending and collecting. Go on treat yourself, its a good price and with the cost of employing gardeners to do the leaf clearance work, it will pay for itself in no time at all.

Fabulous product, it solved a massive problem for us that’s caused us huge amounts of work every autumn as we live in a wooded area. ! 3 hours and four huge 500 litre bags filled!

Once initial teething problems had been resolved ( breather hole in the filler cap wasn't formed ), the machine ran perfectly. Easy to assemble and does what it says. The hose attachment isn't great as the handle is too short, but it does work in enclosed areas. The machine works best on flat hard surfaces.. forget using it on lawns with any undulation as the front just keeps getting stock or the leaves just stick to the grass. It actually works better BACKWARDS for some mad reason.. Good value for money

I wished I had bought one of these long ago. It does a brilliant job and has saved hours of sweeping up leaves. However, there are a few small niggles. 1) It comes supplied with some nylon guide pulleys which are attached by some bolts and wingnuts. The problem is there are no spring washers supplied and the bolts vibrate loose and the pulley drops off. 2) When the ground is wet the back of the collection bag where the zip is can get a bit mucky and the zip can be problamatic. The best thing to do is to brush the zip clean each time you unzip the bag to prevent it jamming. The zip may be the weakest part of this machine and I wonder if it is covered by the guarantee for the machine? Having mentioned the above, this is still a brilliant piece of kit. Unless you want to get access to confined spaces, I don't think it is worth buying a hose.
