Professional tools able to handle extreme loads, the Stihl MS261 chainsaws feature anti-vibration technology to stop intense vibrations from the engine running through the handle as prolonged use of technology with high levels of oscillations can lead to long term effects on blood vessels.
Fitted with a compensator which works with the carburettor to maintain a consistent cutting power. When the air filter starts to become clogged the compensator reduces the amount of fuel delivered to the carburettor to maintain a healthy fuel-air ratio. A significant drop in power will only occur when a filter cleaning is absolutely necessary.
As well as ElastoStart technology in the starter, to take away the compression shock when starting the engine, the Stihl MS260 chainsaws feature a decompression valve to reduce the compression when starting, as well as the effort needed to pull the starter rope. The Ematic chain lubrication system works with the oilomatic chains to provide maximum lubrication, longer wear and reduced oil consumption.
A side tensioning screw allow the user to alter the bar's set-up without needing to actually touch the sharp chain, thus reducing the chance of injury. A single lever master control allows for single lever operation of all of the main functions-start, choke, throttle and stop. Special filler caps to the oil and fuel tanks are equipped with special catches which allow for tool-free opening and locking.
The Stihl MS261 chainsaws are also available with 13" / 32 cm, 16" / 40 cm and 18" / 45 cm guide bars. Can also be used with the HS246 hedgecutter attachment.
